Chaucer Street, Nottingham
Originally designed by RGP Architects this project required a tight building programme which could only be resolved by using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). Consisting of over 300 student bed spaces arranged around cluster flats of 5 to 7 students sharing a kitchen.
The Aryshire Steel Modular Frame system was adopted for this development. Each bedroom was fitted out under factory conditions and delivered to site fully furnished. Built on a concrete frame with valuable parking below, this development was built within 12 months from start on site to occupation.
